I’m a digital illustrator based in Richmond, VA. I primarily focus on storytelling and character design, however I pride myself on my versatility and desire to learn as many artistic disciplines as I can. 

 

Animation and comics have been my biggest inspirations in my artistic development. While I have recently leaned away from animation in favor of static sequential art, I credit animation as one of my biggest inspirations as an illustrator. My favorite cartoons, anime, and movies that I grew up on are what drove me to pursue visual storytelling in my youth. My desire to see more representation of black, queer, and alternative characters is constantly in the back of my mind when I’m creating. I would say some of the core traits of my art are a focus on atypical or underrepresented identities in my characters, usually black or queer coded. I love to use vibrant saturated colors, bold angular linework, and utilize strong shape language to create recognizable characters and settings.
